SS18 Icebergs: Melt Dye

Each season I test out a new type of hand dyeing technique. For SS17 it was the shibori technique, for FW1718, it was the ice dyeing. Well, for SS18 I went for a type of tie dyeing technique. About Ice Dyeing

For our Fall Winter Collection, we used an ice dyeing technique to achieve the Nebula print on both the Selene Nebula Dress and totes.This is a fun technique that could be easily done at home!All you need is a garment to dye, some soda ash (which helps the fibers of the garment hold the dye throughout washes) and some powdered dye. We use Procion brand because it is low impact and eco-friendly but you can use any powder dye you want. Business Cards made from scrap t-shirts

For a while I have been really hesitant about making business cards. It's part of why I love selling my clothing online versus in a store - I feel like I can reduce so much paper waste! I don't need to make hangtags (that card hanging from the garment that tells you the price and size) and I don't have to print receipts, make signage, etc. Sometimes I feel the need for business cards but deep down it breaks my heart printing out a large amount of cards just so that someone can have my information.
