Lights of All is an ecocentric clothing brand. This means we are vegan, sustainable and ethical; we value all life on this planet and do whatever we can to honour those lives in the product we make. Everything is made in house using only the best materials for the environment, people and animals.
Focusing on timeless, unique and comfortable styles you will wear for years to come.
Shine your inner light without putting out anyone else's.
LOA is a dedication to honour, respect and protect the inner light of all living things. It's our mission to create clothing that does no harm to the planet, people or animals.
Lights of All is designed and made by Katia Hagen.
Yes, you read that correctly. This is a one-woman operation. Katia went vegetarian in 2008 and then vegan in 2012. Both veganism and the health of our planet is of the utmost importance to her and those two things are what inspired her to start LOA.
As a result, each garment is carefully made with lots of love by hand and in small quantities. It means you can also trust that the values we promote publicly are present every single step of the way in the making of our clothing.
Everything here is done with love and respect for all living things.
The majority of the fashion industry's problems come from what is done with waste. From water and dyestuff to excess materials and packaging.
What we do to reduce our impact?
All cutting room excess is repurposed into making patchwork pouches, totes (which you get free with your order) and scrunchies! While smaller scraps are donated to a local paper maker who makes them into paper.
We do not use any wrapping materials other than what is essential to shipping your order to you. Your order is wrapped in a free patchwork bag and shipped in a compostable mailer or a recycled box. Our shipping label paper is also made from 100% recycled materials.
Our business cards and hangtags are made from repurposed cotton from the industry. However, to reduce our use, we only use them for in-person events.
As a sustainable and vegan brand, we only use materials that do no harm to the environment, people or animals.
Our main fabrics are Organic Cotton, Oeko-Tex Linen, Tencel, and Hemp. We also sometimes use Recycled Polyester, Organic Linen (when we can find it!) and Viscose.
We use these materials because they are proven to be the best options to reduce the use of water, pesticides or toxic chemicals and are not harmful to the people who make them.
When looking for organic materials we look for GOTS or Oeko-Tex certifications, and for non-organic we look for Oeko-Tex certified practices.
