When I'm designing a new collection I try to focus on how the new styles will integrate with the old ones. It's just as much about what other items in the collection go together as how they can fit in with things people already own.

I also try to make 4-seasons styles - some items are clearly summer and others winter, but I try to make some middle ground pieces that can serve as either transitional wear or full blown 4-seasons.
